Bicoin is competing for public awareness and is obviously winning, but it's also competing for new entrance to the crypto space. i think that the premature ossification is another kind of manifestation of this, a unhealthy conservatism with respect to the protocol and with respect to the community. Is when you want to get involved in crypto, you go to bit con first, a some old timer tells you, you're not supposed to be doing that, and then you probably stumble on a theorium and start building there....
