Mary Shelley wrote ten volumes under the subgroup of the lives of the most eminent literary and scientific men. She later said she preferred these works to her efforts at fiction or as she put it to romancing. Her story of Frankenstein could have been subtitled a modern Zeus, celebrating the triumph of science over known reality. It's perhaps to Mary's credit that my first thought is made in a lab seeking perfection and my second thought immediately following is careful what you wish for. You might regret it.
