I think carbon dating is bad news for relics William. I don't blame the church for wanting to keep that in the dark Peter. In fact there's a long history well not long in terms of the lifetime of relics but at least for the past hundred years or so of the church bringing in experts and tissue preservation as a way of preserving relics. It even kind of lets us understand maybe the impact of relics in the old days to see how people do this pop kind of culture stuff today.
