The Case of Donald Trump and the National Archives
The National Archives was having difficulty getting full cooperation from Donald Trump on that. He met with his lawyers and basically told them, well, wouldn't it be good if we just tell them we don't have anything? That's what ultimately leads to the raid on Mar-a-Lago last August where they find more than 100 additional documents with classified markings. The other interesting thing right away is there was a narrative during this investigation since the search that the attorneys were maybe being duped by Trump. This seems to suggest he may sort of hint that he's not voluntarily turning over the documents but he may actually do it.
