In the Wake of a Crisis, Governments Step in to Protect Profits

We've had this pattern for quite a long time, that where, during moments of crisis to moments of crisis, a states step in to protect profits. What we've seen really in most recent crises is government stepping in to support the profits of big businesses and to just insure that they survive much longer than they otherwise might have. That means we're going to leaveat this crisis with more powerful monopolies, a lower wages, lower levels of investment as well. And all those things that have been taking place over the last forty years within world capitalism, suggests that this crisis is actually one of a long line of them.
