Lady Bird Johnson and the JFK Assassination
In 1942, LBJ bought a commercial radio station in Austin, Texas called KTBC. In 1943, Lady Bird Johnson applies for and is immediately proved to purchase the station. Within four months, she files for and is approved for move on the dial to a less crowded area of the dial where the station will be more likely to be picked up. It goes from $2,600 a month in ad revenue to $5,645 a month by end of 1943.
