The Story of Orville Rogers
Orville Rogers was born in 1917 and his father abandoned the family when he was six years old. He developed two passions while he was a teenager: Jesus and airplanes. In college, he signed up for seminary but got called to serve our country in World War II. When he left the military, he then went to work for Braniff Airlines as a commercial airline pilot. And at the age of 99, he actually became the world champion in the 60 meter dash,. beating out the 92 year old that he's running with.
