The sahara desert is believed to have been much more fertile from the eighth millennium b c through until the fourth millennium b c e. Villages began to expand during this period, and one of the first large villages was jericho in modern west bank of palestine. The journey of seramics throughout the neolithic is considerable, with increasing populations making pottery an essential part of everyday life.
