The Importance of Savings Culture in the British Economy
Pilkington: If we look at the sort of economies that export and have trade surpluses, they have more savings cultures. The public sector in the country right now does seem to be constrained. He says housing market is driven by people plowing investment capital into it because interest rates are so low. Pilkington: I think using the Singaporean model wouldn't work for subsidies as they don't generate investment.
