The tarot card example shows us that literature or storytelling is always already machinic right if you can take a deck of cards with a bunch of symbols on them and then like draw three cards at random and then tell a story about those cards. This moves into a big reread of wasinga and calwa in particular their kind of uptake in game studies of the 90s and the 2000s. Mukherjee goes into darota again to talk about uh doridian play and to sort of reorient our understanding of play as not an ornament to life but as a supplement to it.
