Authenticity or Religiosity?
To rein in the wild problem of what decisions should you make, you need some kind of ethical code or some kind of objective thing. To demand certainty of life is a very human impulse because it's not available except in the grave and maybe not even there. The choices we make come with baggage and pain and suffering that we have to live with. Do we live with those by saying, oh, I made a terrible mistake eight years ago when I moved? We can't know how things are going to turn out until they do.
