In mediaeval times, if you're down on your luck, you can either throw the kids out and they become wolves. Or you can eat them and you become a wolf through cannibalism. You'd probably find a bunch of farl children out in the woods e be like, all right, we got to kill these kids because there's nothing else to do. But this wold seem very especially in apointeng time when child protective services couldn't get cald on your ass.
