The Gardener's Landscape

Gardeners deliberately include what is not in their garden as a visual part of your garden. If you're lucky enough to have a really good tree on a little hillock, say, in the distance, and you have a, what you do is close off everything around it, except for that little bit of view. And that makes the garden seem much bigger. But the point is, is that no garden is independent of its surrounding landscape.
