The Story of Alexander White
Alexander White was born in January 1836 in Scotland, and he would die in 1921 at the age of 85. He always dreamed of being a minister but didn't come from the best background. Becoming a minister requires theological training, and theological training requires money. So his father agreed to help get him through college and pay for some of that ministry training. The Prince of Scottish Preachers is very much a revivalist.
