Lacon: If language is what separates us if you will from animals. I'm not entirely comfortable with that. Where we're headed from here is towards Jusont's enjoyment. That's why machines are horrific. They do not know enjoyment. But also like the best parent. The best primary caregiver Is a dead one. You don't want a police officer who enjoys arresting people. It's our ability to use speech that makes us a very weird animal. Weird because we are never entirely present to ourselves. We're always decentered. Interrupted by ourselves. Ignorant of ourselves. Lacon says language is the difference.
