How to Monetize a Puppet

When you join puppet the company had been around for quite a while at that point and so I imagine that the focus was probably a lot more on monetization at the point when you joined. A lot of the learnings I took away that I still share what a lot of founders is back to where we started which is what are you open sourcing and why because it's no longer enough to have those things. If you've got a really fantastic open source project and a technology that's sort of fully functional the conversation to convert that user to a buyer is difficult.
