The Differences Between Experts and Novices

Experts tend to have a lot of tacit knowledge, whereas novices really have very much of that. Most of their knowledge is explicit. But partly it's because they actually have a better memory for random outlying stuff. And then the other thing is the automatization, the automaticity. So there are certain things which an expert will know, which maybe as a novice were explicit knowledge, but now the tacit knowledge.
