The Secret Rule of Writing About a Writer

It is my understanding that there's a lot of like literary references in this book, not that I would get them if I were reading them. Well, I referenced Aristotle, which instantly makes me sound smarter. You referenced Aristotle and I referenced the banners that they pulled behind planes on the beach. Sure. That is a reference if you tell me that you're doing a reference, at least in terms of book stuff. In the part about this being a book about a writer in a Paris review interview, she did say I did break a secret rule of mine with this book, which is to never ever write about someone who is a writer or a writing teacher because who cares.
