i'm a black woman and he's a white man. We have been together for two and a half years, and we both want to spend the rest of our lives together and start a family soon. When it comes to race issues, my boy friend and i are not on the same page. The events in charlottesville created an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach that won't go away. He often gets defensive and shuts you down when you try to talk about these issues. I feel strongly that you need to act now on this.
