The Study of Radicalization

Radicalization can be understood as a psychological, theological or group pro by which an individual takes on violent means. The study of radicalization has been rather thin in terms of how much theory or depth we have to understanding what's happening. There's a bit of black box. Some other a some other critiques that are brought across about radicalization are that it's anecdotal and there're very few case studies to look at the people who actually commit terrorist attacks.
