Quantise Spin Liquids Are a Reality in Quantum Physics
Quantise liquids had been theorized about 50 years ago by philip anderson, ws e ipica in the condensed mater community. Harry lewis speaks to julia semegine from harvard university to hear what this matter is and why it might be useful. It's a concept known as quantum superposition. In regular magnets, when the temperature drops low enough, electrons stabilize and forms solid matter with magnetic properties because the electrons are stuck in either a spin up state or a spin down state. In quantum pin liquid, the constant ambiguity of the electron state prevents freezing. This means that if you have specific properties, o see these correlations, they will find their way into computers
