The New Wave of Professionalization in the Marxist Ideological Framework
In the 1950s, some historians adopted the discourse of cultural difference as a way to define or define their intellectual autonomy by rejecting world history. So in the moment of the tension between ideological concerns and the historical pursuits, this idea of nationalism actually became sort of a defensive mechanism that allows Chinese historians to at least define their mental autonomy. I recommend that with the Chinese that what history of study in China witnessed a new wave of professionalization within the Marxist ideological framework.
