I'm a huge believer in dry needling. I think it's the single best technique that I have in my sort of weaponry for life to treat chronic soft tissue problems and so on. As far as injecting things, it's always very controversial. A cortisone injection will enable you to reduce pain and inflammation so you can do a proper rehab program. So it's certainly not a sort of an end in itself, if you like. And it always worries me that doctors do a cortisone injections and say, just rest for six weeks and you'll be fine from your tensile or whatever... Right, yeah.
