The Importance of Finding Your Own Identity
I think of the whole book as Alice's voice. I didn't really find my own identity until I left home. Growing up in that house of female and listen womanhood has really impacted on who I am. But at the same time, I had to leave that house in order to kind of really discover myself. And I think that's why I liked books. So yeah, I think I did retreat a little bit into the world of words and language but I didn't ever really think of myself as a writer until much later.
