The Problem With Motivation
I'm not sure that either of those points really go against what I've said. The idea that we're motivated by reason, I saw there was a reason to do something and therefore I did true. But I can't think of an example whereby if you were to push that and say why was that a reason to act, you'd have to end up at something which was just a kind of desire. So it's not like it's irrational to not want to be happy to die. It's not the rational nor irrational. We want to live.
