I prefer having the versatility of this phone actually working when things hit the fan. And I think it's the same for me in my switch back to the Linux desktop on my work machine. We tried all the new things and decided that the old stuff was better instead. You should definitely have a stack of laptops and a huge, well, at least one box of cables. No matter how many times you move, don't throw it out.
