The Importance of Ideology in Institutions
There was already a very active communist network throughout the United States before he came on the scene. The Longmore City institutions, which is the corollary we're talking about, was different and more successful because it was a domestic political movement that took young people who were going to be in the country for the rest of their lives. And so that really shows you how effective they were able to be over time, multi-generationally, of getting those ideas from the furthest fringes all the way into your child's kindergarten classroom.
