A lot of companies 200 years ago used to do this, this model called the company town. And what they would do is they'd build a mine for coal or silver and then build an entire town around it. This removed a lot of autonomy and freedom that the workers had. But it also massively exploited the workers. If you're a coal miner and the company you work for owns your falkand house feeds you all your food, if you don't have thatyou not only don't have a job, your family are completely homeless. Then that relation is a that's coercive and it's exploite.
