The Challenges of Building Robots
We are still far away of a real robot coworker or a companion, but who knows? We have seen that things are moving super fast with AI software. So maybe robot hardware may take the same leap. And just another challenge, I think, of building robots is a bit of the same challenge as we have with electric vehicles. The mining of the raw precious materials for batteries, like cobalt and lithium, is polluting and water intensive often under suboptimal labour conditions. There's also the chip bar between the US and China. And then the last thing, because manufacturing robots and batteries produces emissions.
