The Linear Regime of Galaxies
We are in a regime that if you measure the density inside of a cluster and right out of the outside of the cluster, you're going to measure this difference. So we're actually looking at scales that have many galaxy clusters. We can do the same thing for individual galaxies or clusters of galaxies and we can also do this with supernovae. If we understand the universe correctly, all four of these methods should give us a consistent answer. But one of the most exciting things to me happens is when you have multiple independent ways of measuring the same thing and one or more of them doesn't line up with the rest.
