Is There a Domestic Battery Industry?
The european union has been very concerned about the fact that there is no domestic battery industry in europe. The car industry is incredibly importin its switching to electric vehicles, but it's dependent on imports for most of its batteries. And so i think what they can do going forward is focus on things that have direct impact on emissions. There we know it's going to work immediately. We also found that there'are a lot of cheap measures that can have a real impact. If you're going to bale our businesses, you can attach conditionaly s to those bail outs that have climate impact bit. It just means you have to write the contract differently.
