Signalling Moral Virtues
The concept of costly signalling is that often the signals that cost a lot tend to be more reliable. So if you're signalling intelligence, for example, one easy way to do that is through a vocabulary size suggest using not super pretentious words. Signalling moral virtuess is a little, a little trickier. Often we end up using a social proof information from other reputational information. Sometimes we'll do little moral tests, you know, a set up situations of temptation or potential betrayal. And then make a judgment about like, are they good enough ethically that i want to stick with e ye?
