Participatory Budgeting - The Biggest Win
Sherry Davis is co-executive director of the participatory budgeting project in Phoenix, Arizona. She says community members can have a say on how much money their school district spends. In Paris, France, for example, residents decide over 100 million euros worth of public spending. "The trust built between community members and those that are in government" helps change behavior, she says.
