I Feel Compelled to Write This Film
I felt like it was something that could be a crossroads between different people's lives. And I also wanted to write about two lonely people who found an ad hoc family, which is my experience of the theatre and cinema. The families that I found were not biological families. They were eccentric families put together by us, with a bunch of people who didn't quite fit in anywhere else. But it was instinctive. There are some movies you kind of decide to do in a strategic part of your brain. That would be Bond. This was one of those, where it just felt like something in me needed to express these things.
