Snoopy and the Ants
When we see Snoopy in World War I, right? And yet everybody knows that it's time to talk about Vietnam. That's a very interesting point by removing it from any of the lived experience of any of his audience, but also placing it with the most cartoonish of his characters. It allowed him the kind of inoffensive space to make the comments that he wanted to make. But there were some surprising times that I discuss when he brings it right into the real world of the kids.
