People with BPD really have a hard time kind of knowing who they are and which might, it's one of those things that can sound very bizarre to people who don't have personality disorders. People would define themselves maybe more externally by what they do or by the relationships they have but this sort of a core part of who they are just isn't there. With ADHD, where we can sometimes see that misdiagnosis is people with ADHD can also have identity issues. You're still a self but you haven't grounded yourself. It's almost like you're the fully formed key but looking for the lock.
