The Importance of Time Zone Changes

Daylight savings time was implemented in the US in 1918, a wartime measure for seven months during World War I. For astrologers, it's actually a real nightmare when you're trying to calculate charts because it means unless you know for sure whether daylight savings time was in effect or not, your chart could be off by basically like an hour. It can completely throw off the Ascendant and the Midheaven and all of the house placements. If you do not accurately know whether daylight conservation time was an effect or not,. And the problem with it is that it changes from location to location and time frame to time frame and whether it was recognized or not recognized on different sites.
