What Makes a Text Jewish?
i'm very much of the school, and great work has been done by scholars like mosha halbertal or j harris. What makes something tora has everything to do with whether it's getting at some very, very essential human question. And so in that sense, i think that what we're doing right now is very jewish. It's to say, these wordsm and they matter so much that whene i coing, let them just drop, we're going to hold them. You don't just hold words, you massage them.
