Having to Make Judgment Calls in Data Analysis
I love this idea that you can get started by doing something very simple and just drawing a plot of how your numbers change over time. You can gradually introduce more sophisticated techniques and get into things like calculating descriptive statistics and do time series analysis. There are different levels of analysis for different people who want to try this for sure. I think the most successful data analysts refine their measurement so it's less vulnerable to being doubted by themselves. That in itself is a judgment call right? And we've seen people transform their data and do all kinds of really neat stuff in reasoning but you don't have to.
