Socrates and Keflis on Justice
Justice according to an old and fearful man who is approaching the end of his life. An idea of justice that appeals to legal ideas of fairness and traditional ideas of piety a position on justice anchored only or maybe primarily by fear of punishments by the gods in the afterlife which is now very rapidly approaching for Keflis. Socrates strangely tries to tear apart this common sense conventional understanding of justice one which he seems to succeed in tearing apart.
