The Treasury Will Pay $3.3 Billion Per Tax on Your 2003 Income

Berkshire Hathaway will pay 2.5% of total income tax paid by all U.S. corporations in fiscal 2003, says Warren Buffett. If only 540 tax payers pay the amount Berkshire will pay, no other individual corporation would have to pay anything to Uncle Sam, he writes. In 1985, Berkshire paid $132 million in federal income taxes and all corporations paid $61 billion; this year it'll pay about $3.3 billion. "If class warfare is being waged in America, my class is clearly winning"
