The Beat That Gets You Fired?
i covered presential politics for more of my career than anything else. It's hard to imagine a conflict of interest stronger than they pay me money every two weeks, and if they don't like me, they can fire me. If you feel optimistic this far into the job, i think that's a good sign. The thing that gets you fired is usually something that is actually outside of the norm. A not in the times also has a very strong tradition of independence.
