The Fear of Being Misdiagnosed With Autism

I think from our experience, my impressions changed a little bit. Initially I thought all people that have done psychiatry or all pediatricians would have some idea about what autism is. But now that we've had our own experience, I know that that's completely incorrect. And actually it's really the people within those fields that have done extra training and that's their subspecialty who you need to be going to for a diagnosis. The fear is that specialist A doesn't actually have up-to-date knowledge and the upper-date practices, which have changed nationally. And therefore misdiagnosed you.
