The Importance of Fan Fiction
The Coyote chapter was the one that really got me. I've read a lot of fan fiction over the years. Most of it very bad, sometimes laughably bad. It's like using pop culture characters as reflections for larger things and not simply like wish fulfillment or yeah, I'm going to write sequel to Beetlejuice. And they're just sort of the conduit for that. Because you're right. It's a shorthand. Right.
