Tipp and Ali were doing programming on their own. Tipp had an SP-12 and Ali had his computer and an S900. The technology still wasn't that great so we didn't have to mess with it just a little bit. Back then, we used to fake it. You would synchronize to Simpty on the tape to timecode. Can I guess the Lynx's? No, almost. But you'd synchronize the SP12 to Simpty because the SP12 was one of the first things to read it and spit out MIDI clock. And you'd feed the Simpty through a 50 millisecond delay.
