The Stoics and Anxiety

Stoics distinguish between three types of emotions, so it's highly systematic philosophy. They had a classificatory system where they distinguish between good, bad and different emotions. The Greek word for passion is related to our word pathology, as in psychopathology, and it implies suffering. But the stoics also have a term, a pro-pathy eye, which is kind of tricky to translate but it basically means involuntary emotional reactions.
