The Interaction Between Scientists and Politicians and the Public
When we learn science in school, we're taught science as if it's stuff that is chiseled in granite, on a stone somewhere, and an unchanging truth. We give the idea to the public that science and scientists talk with the words of God almost. They understand everything like Newton's laws of physics and it crosses everything that they do. And so the public and the politicians think we know all the answers straight away. So there is a real communication issue here about what science can do and what science can't do.
