Do I Have ADHD?

The most important thing to remember with treating ADHD is that a neuropsych eval is brilliant, right? In a perfect world, can we all get people tested? No. So for me, I'm always checking for underlying mood issues. If someone has bipolar disorder and they're manic, but they look like they have hyperin, they think they have ADHD or they purport that they have ADHD. The last thing you want to do is add a stimulant to someone who is not medicated and stable with bipolar disorder. Sometimes psychiatrists and providers out there will add a stimulants on board just to get someone motivated.
