The election did, though, reveal major problems for democrats presumption that voters of color and immigrants are their inevitable base. But is one factor at play here, that the identity categories that many liberals in leftis prized don't resonate as widely in actually existing social worlds as many had hoped? i think tat that doesn't mean any way that the democratic party thinks that it bears meaning.
