I have no doubt that someone will go off the reservation and try this on their own, especially if they can afford a relatively unethical doctor to just participate in this kind of experimentation. I think it really depends on what data bears out here. If there is, it turns out, real tangible results and evidence, then it's Katie Barr at the door. We don't know where it stops. But if it is a way to build the frightened and the aging out of money in an attempt to pay the ferryman a couple of extra coins to stay on his side of the river sticks for a while, then people will throw money at it.
